Imagine Chocolate Packaging

For Motiv's 2018 Holiday Gift, we teamed up with a craft chocolate company (Somerville Chocolates) owned and operated by one guy named Eric and we created Imagine Chocolate. The branding formula was Origin + Flavor + Whimsy = Imagine Chocolate. Each designer added their own illustration style to design the different chocolate packaging to pair with the very different flavors.

The chocolate bar I designed is made with Peruvian white chocolate with cacao nibs (bits of raw chocolate). To fit this formula I came up with "Nib-erate your Mind" which infuses visuals of Peruvian landmarks like Machu Picchu and a mediating, flute playing, primate to evoke a feeling that this chocolate was infused with a deep spiritual intent and brings you a sense of calm while enjoying it. The cloud and mountain detail within the design represent the smoothness of the white chocolate and hard crunch of the nibs respectively. My goal with this design was to enhance the experience of enjoying this delicious chocolate bar!
